Winter Park IB Program

I left Lake Highland and moved to Winter Park High School after qualifying for the International Baccalaureate Program. The program was not offered at LHPS. I have continued to participate in several extra-curricular activities and community service, both at the school and with outside organizations.

I attended Lake Highland for Middle School after moving from Washington State to Florida. During my time at Lake Highland I received superior grades and participated in after school activities including: drama, piano, soccer, volleyball, crew and community service.

Forest Ridge was where I went to 6th grade. I had planned to go there through High School, but my family moved across the country due to work. While at Forest Ridge I participated in numerous school and extra-curricular activities.

Open Window School for Gifted

I attended Open Window School for through 5th grade. It was an individualized program which worked with each child’s intellectual strengths, personal creativity and individual gifts in math, science, music, language arts, etc. The best teacher I have ever had was at this school. ’becca Flora helped me believe I can achieve anthing I want in life.

Pacific Northwest Ballet

The Pacific Northwest Ballet School and Program is by audition only. You attend several sessions and they send you a letter if you have made it in. I was lucky to be chosen to participate and was a member of the PNB for two years. I practiced 3 times a week and performed in several shows.

Being part of Dance Centers of Orlando is like being part of a big family. I take 5-7 hours of dance each week. The classes I have taken include: Jazz, Lyrical, Leaps and Turns, Adult Fusion, Martial Arts, Hip Hop, Contortionism, Acrobatics, and Week Long Intensive.

Hunter's Run Equestrian Center

Hunter’s Run was a big change. My new pony was a show pony and it liked to perform. I started training 2-3 times a week and doing shows on the weekend. When I was 6 or 7, I moved to a horse. Bunny Hop and Chocolate Chip were great horses. Angie was a hard instructor but she helped me find discipline and taught me how to jump.

Tall Firs Equestrian Center

I loved horses from the time I was born and started riding when I was 20 months old. When I was 2, my family leases my first pony and found an instructor willing to train me. I rode at Tall Firs for several years before moving to Hunter’s Run.
