Kevin C. D’Souza is a recent college graduate (August 2015) with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering (Specialization in Energy Systems, Safety, and the Environment) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Kevin studied internationally at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden, participating in a comprehensive course on the geological storage of nuclear waste. This course was co-sponsored by SKB Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Company. His research experience includes a project through the Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering department at UIUC, where a team of 5 undergraduate engineering students did an analysis on commercial power plant storage procedures of spent nuclear fuel and designed a plan to lower the overall radiation intake for workers. Kevin possesses a versatile educational background with a solid foundation in engineering, mathematics, and physics, while his professional experience has developed expertise in finance, education, mentoring, and leadership. Together, these skills form a compassionate and forward-thinking problem solver, ready to take on the challenges and opportunities of today’s world.
